Thinking of buying a Jazzmaster Moonphase...
I went to a Hamilton AD Thursday and got a quote on a Jazzmaster Moonphase that I absolutely want, and wondered if his 40% off price at $1,461.00 is as good a deal to expect (the Retail price is $2,445.00). I think it is a pretty good deal. The watch has a ton of complications rolled up in an elegant package powered by a Valjoux (I don't remember the precise Movement specs). To put it plain and simple I may be buying this watch in the next month or so but I wanted to check with the Hamilton crowd first before I jump into the deal. Being a Dexter fan and a watch freek I was asking myshelf what watch Dexter in wearing in the show. Many people got it right about the brand TIMEX and the year seem right 1973 (could be from 1970 to 1974). But all were wrong about the model.Dexter watch is and Electric Timex �� 1973 with a Speidel Twist-O-Flex band.There is a lot of those watch on eBay to buy...but almost all come with the Day/calender dial, as of the one from dexter is a NO-date pale gold dial, silver case.It has a dome acrylic crytal and use a standard Timax type "A" battery..The watch itshelf run like a automatic movement and you hear the ticking, but it"s electric to run....very special to hear running with a loud mechanical ticking.For those who did not see the pictures taken from the show, i have included a few on another post for you to see and also somes picture of my actual watch on this post. Hi guys, I'm based in London, but I'm heading out to NYC and SF in a few weeks. If a certain deal transpires before then, I may consider checking out and purchasing a 5711 or possibly a 5176A whilst out there.London has the most expenses prices that I've seen, so this would be beneficial.
