Panerai Pam 418 wrist watches news:
There have been a few interesting auction listing that no one has commented about...Hamilton Piping Rock, 14K White Gold just went for $1350, which seems like a decent price (especially compared to a few years ago)Hamilton Liberty Coin Watch., 14K Version, just sold for under $900 which seems good for this unique watch.Another Hamilton Coin watch has been out these fro $2,000 going unsold, but there have been some offer put on it the the seller has not accepted (some of the buyers are part of this forum I think)A Hamilton Cushion with a rare SILVER case. I always likes sterling silver Hamiltons. In my opinionit is a buyer's market!
Well I just went to check something on the Miyota site, and just stumbledacross this. There will be more 28,800BPH movements in the 9000 series of movement. This has already been posted, I am sorry.
Last night I was lying in bed. The lights were off and I glanced at the lume on the watch I was wearing. It was my Credor Phoenix Chronograph (see picture below). I noticed that the tip of the sweep second hand had lume, just the tip mind you. I began to wonder why. Clearly this would allow me to time something in the dark, but I can¡¯t bring to mind anything I might want to time in the dark. If this were a military watch it might have relevance, but as you can see it clearly not such a time piece. As I drifted off to sleep I chalked it up to another irrelevant feature of the watch. This piece has quite a few which include the tachymeter scale and the telemeter scale. These scales are only relevant when you want to bore someone to tears at a party as you describe the joy of doing DRT problems on your watch. Gradually you watch their eyes glaze over and then they scurry away to ¡°freshen their drink¡± and escape the watch nerd. I don¡¯t actually do DRT problems or time lightning.
As promised, this is my newest INCOMING! Vacheron Constantin TourbillonI must say, this is my most exciting watch purchase yet. The Vacheron Constantin Openworked Double Barrel Tourbillon model 30051. For a while now, I had a couple empty voids in my collection. I needed a skeletonized watch, and a tourbillon. And after thinking it over, I decided I wanted both in the same watch: A skeletonized Tourbillon. After all, what other complication is as important to see for all its glory? From what I have read, it seems Vacheron is the (almost) undisputed grand-masters of the skeletonizing process. From what I have seen in person from many different watch companies, I must concur. I am taken by their extraordinarily precise attention to detail. It is truly amazing. An openworked movement should look nearly as though the parts are just floating. The bridges of the 30051 are made of 21k gold, and painstakingly decorated by hand.Even though many agree that a tourbillon is not the most
