Here are some ideas as to what I'd like in a dress watch, as I'm selling my Hamilton Jazzmaster Tonneau - it's a little big for me for a dress watch.So, if it sells for what I believe is a reasonable price, I can add the funds from 3 recent sales for a budget of $600. I'm trying to reduce the number of watches I have so that they all get worn by selling recently purchased watches that are similar in style to others I have. I'd rather sell the almost new ones because if I sell something I want the buyer to get more than they bargained for rather than less. Apparently REAL Waltham mechanical watches are still made in Switzerland and marketed in Europe and Japan Waltham | The manufacturer of fine Swiss wrist and pocket watchesbut here in the United States another firm owns the Waltham name and uses it to peddle 15 dollar Chinese throwaway watches? Does anyone here own a watch mfg by the current Waltham International? Looks to be a fine watch and worthy of the legendary name. So, finally, I'm in the waitlist for a Hulk..
Today, after 5 years collecting watches, more than 20 pieces of different brands and 3 different Rolex watches, I've finally putted myself in the waitlist for my grail: Rolex Submariner 116610LV, The hulk!I have to say that I'm quite excited, even when this same happened to me since I've bought my first luxury piece, an Omega SMPc, or when I've got my first submariner, the iconic 16610.
