Chef Anthony Bourdain And His Ernst Benz ChronoFlite World Timer Watch
I recently wrote about chef Mario Batali and the special Ernst Benz Chronoscope for in his honor/image. A lot of people felt very strongly about it. Some people liked it, some people didn't, but most sorta voiced a general dissent of Mario Batali himself. Well, the man does use lots of butter and oil in his cooking, but the orange watch done for him by Ernst Benz wasn't half bad. Mario Batali isn't the only celebrity chef to wear an Ernst Benz watch. One of my favorite TV chefs also has one, and can be seen wearing it his show on the Travel Channel, "No Reservations." I am of course talking about New Yorker Anthony Bourdain.He looks cool and eats just about anything. That is basically his shtick. Others have come after him to do the same, but no one is as suave about it, or seems to actually enjoy what they are eating quite like Tony. The PANDAAMERICA Network from the mid 1990s? I used to see it some mornings on a local non-cable channel. They would be auctioning off vintage wrist and pocket watches while I ate breakfast. My local station switched to basement televangelists during the day and then the live watch auctions resumed about 7:00 Central. It was porn for vintage American watch fans.

Questions about Seiko Dive Watches
Greetings from a rank newbie. I was referred over here from one of my usual web haunts, the CandlePower Forum. There's a few watch guys there, and they sent me to you. I'm looking to buy a good, everyday wear, diver's style watch. I've been wearing an older Tag Heuer quartz watch (it was my engagement gift, actually... a 1000 series, purchased in 1998) daily, but I'd rather not expose this piece to the vagaries of day-to-day wear any longer. I'd like a well made watch, but nothing fancy. I'd also like to keep my cost under about $250 U.S.An afternoon of research has led me to lean strongly towards one or another of the Seiko automatic dive watches. My first "good" watch was a Seiko sport model with the Pepsi color scheme, and the Seiko SKX009JP or -KP is of interest. I've also found the slightly more conservatively stiled "007", SKJ007K, and the not-so-subtle orange "Bullet" SKXA55K1, which has really become my favorite appearance-wise. Exp. I crown unscrewed
While wearing my Explorer 2 42mm which is less than a year old, I have a few times noticed the crown being unscrewed about 3 or 4 turns. Do you think this is a problem or just happens sometimes with the movement of wearing it. I always screw it down tight. I have only noticed this probably 3 times. But it bothers me. Any thoughts?
