Panerai PAM 29 wrist watches news:
For Baselworld, Hublot presents something new for the brand: an extra-thin Classic Fusiuon skeleton watch. The 45mm watch is equipped with a new movement just 2.9mm thick, developed by Hublot. It comes in a fully skeleton-worked version that puts the escapement and balance wheel on display. The dial side features small seconds at 7 o’clock. UPDATED: U.S. prices added. In a nod to the brand’s history, the hands match those of the very first Hublot watches. With a 90-hour power reserve and 50-meter water resistance, this piece is available in two versions, one in titanium, limited to 1000 pieces, and the other in 18k King Gold with 500 pieces. The retail prices are $16,400 for the titanium model and $33,700 for the gold version. Additional technical information appears below the images, which may be enlarged with a click.TECHNICAL DETAILSReferences: 515.NX.0170.LR – Titanium, 1000-piece limited series; 515.OX.0180.LR – 18K King Gold, 500-piece limited seriesCase:
Hate the bracelet that Tudor attaches to their watches especially the chronos. Too blingy and too many small parts which I feel makes the watch look feminine. So, first I decided to brush the centre links of the bracelet....WOW, nicebetter than I expected Came out so well that I also brushed the top of the watch to match the bracelet, but left the sides polished. Here's the watch with brushed original bracelet, but still not too happy with it. It really needs an OYSTER bracelet.OK, got one. Previous attempt at polishing the centre links but the brushed effect was "too deep" on the links and the underlying marks can still be seen.Time to refurbish the bracelet and brush it again....sweet! Yup, this is EXACTLY what I imagined it to be! No need to do anything to it again.
Box from Germany...well packed ...nice wood box ...look inside ...front ...back ...wrist ...outside wrist to catch the sparkle ...my Germans ...my daughter wondering what her crazy Dad is excited about ...First impressions: 36.5 mm diameter is big enough, this watch wears big! I don't know why they thought they needed to offer a bigger diameter watch. The reflections and sparkle of the hand and indices and the gray to black face are impossible to capture in photographs, very subtle and beautiful. Also, the date is extremely legible (one of the key reasons I wanted this watch). Very comfortable on the strap, but I am looking for a very well made light mesh bracelet to check out the water resistance on this baby. (no screw down crown, but the gasket at the crown is there). So far, very pleased, a beautiful and elegant watch. I will need some time to judge performance...
Well, I'm not going fishing today. So I charged up the battery for the new camera! I haven't opened the instruction manual yet so I'm sure the quality will get better by next week as I learn the new funtions. It's still much better than the little touristy Cybershot I had been working with.Second, the details can get so fine I see I'm going to have to shoot twice - once just to find the dirt and the second time after a thorough cleaning (notice the single strand of fuzz on the bezel and the crud around the logo on the safety clasp)I've never quite captured the mother of pearl or texture of this dial, and now I'm getting close. This is the most difficult watch I own to photograph. After I get the strap on it I'll shoot some other pics. I hope they get better. Thanks,Dennis
