I recently was given a very nice old Hamilton men's watch that is in good condition and is running perfectly. I've worn it a few times and have really enjoyed its looks, the way feels, and how accurately it works. I'd like to learn more about it and hope some of the experts on this forum could help identify the model and its probable age. The back of the watch is marked "HAMILTON" and "18KGOLDFILLED".The band, that may not be original as it shows almost no wear, is imprinted with "Speidel U.S.A". Thanks for any help you could provide. This watch has really been a fun adventure. 1) I was originally given this Skagen Dive watch by a good friend. They had not worn it for years and the rubber strap had literally cracked in half and fallen off. The watch had been sitting in a drawer for over 5 years. All they could tell me was that it was about 10 years old and originally had been sold at Sharper Image back in the day. What was really interesting was the size of the watch. It is 45mm from bezel edge to edge and 50mm if you include the extended case and crown. It is also heavy. Considering the reported age of the watch, it's size was unusual for a watch that was a decade old. Most importantly, I just really liked the overall look of the case design, bezel, and dial look. 2) I emailed Skagen directly and only received a vague email back from them that I had an old old model that was no longer made. They did not help at all and never emailed me back again when I asked additional questions. 3) I then posted pictures of the w
.........it's arrived...........any ideas as to what it might be? It was accompanied by 4 security guards!!!!Photos to follow.
I may be able to get one of these with a serial # dating it to 2006. Complete with box, papers, new, unworn. Any idea what I should be paying for this?Any pics out there you could post or comments based on your experience. I read somewhere there was a problem with 3303 movement in earlier models. With a manuf dating 2006 is the problem solved. Thanks for your info and pics if any!!
