Panerai PAM 341 wrist watches news:
I am very interested in purchasing my first luxury watch and am strongly leaning towards the OmegaSeamaster 300M Chronometer. I'm just having a hard time parting with the $3000 + dollars for it! For all you Omega experts out there, can you give me your feed back / opinion on this watch? Is Omega really worth the money? Thanks
Mr Beck is quite right. I used to own a Speedmaster Racing with a black carbon fibre dial. It lasted a whole two months. The movement broke when I used the stop-watch function. It was replaced by the AD but I never felt completely at ease with it. Chuck Maddox has a detailed criticism of the movement, as I'm sure many of you will know. The Speedmaster Racing is a beautiful looking watch and the only piece I regret selling. If I could find another I think I'd go for it, even with the doubts about reliability although it may have been discontinued by now. Does anyone else have experience of this model?
I recently pruchased a Hamilton "Neil". 14K gold-filled.Has 747 movement, 17J, serial number Y219250anyone know what year this model may have been made?thanks
Trying to find out what direction my watches need to be rotated when on a watch winder? Just had watchs serviced after storage for 30+ years. 1 is a 1969 Gold Seiko automatic model 6119-8080 & the other is a SS Caravelle with N-2 stamped on the case back. No other model # is on the case back. Caravelle is SS w/a black face ( 3 handed (hours, minutes, & red sweep second) w/just a magnified date window & no #s on the dial (just luminous marker's). Bezel is a bi-directional rotating diver style. Any info is appreciated
Which is you pick? I am falling towards the grey side but the dark side the award winner Since the grey side is originally from a white ceramic, does that mean it is tougher than the black ceramic ala AP? Btw are they retail at the same MSRP? .. and anyone know why omega purposely left out the common quick-set for the date indicator? Love to learn more and hear your opinions! HAGWE!! .. Jen
