Back From My Long Weekend In Orlando With Some Pics
Friday morning I flew down to Orlando to see my father for a long weekend. Thanks to the direct flight from Dayton, I flew out about 8am, landed about 10:30am, grabbed the bags, drove to my father's place, unpacked and was pool side by about 2pm. On the way to the club house and pool, I noticed what I thought was a gator and some turtles sunning themselves next to the pool - but I only had my point and shoot camera with me, so this is the only shot I got on Friday:So I kicked back and enjoyed the pool, and decided I'd bring my DSLR tomorrow:Saturday was just beautiful! Not a cloud in the sky!This pontoon plan made a few take offs and landings on the lake:I was hoping that gator would make it back out, but the only visitors to the local wildlife sunbathing spot were these turtles:But I kept a lookout....hmmm....waitaminute....what is that I see in the water?Yep....my buddy was back!I decided to go out into the grass and try to get a closer shot! Khaki Field Automatic Chronograph
I'm thinking about buying a Khaki Field Automatic Chronograph. I've been thinking about the Valjoux movement and this seems to be one of the least expensive ways to acquire one. I also like the simple style of the Khaki. Any opinions out there on this watch? Also, any opinions on buying off of the internet from a non-AD? Thanks in advance.

Help with RO bracelet adjustment
Hi,Today I became the proud owner of a 15300ST (a blue one!). Will post some pictures later when it fits my wrist.It was shipped to me so I couldn't have the bracelet adjusted by the seller and now want to do this myself.I'm a bit confused however about the order in which to take out links. There are currently 2 links on the '6 side' and 4 links on the '12 side' that can be removed. See picture.My wrist is 7inch and I estimate that I need to take at least 2 links out, possibly 3 (I think a RO is most beautiful when it's not too loose on the wrist).Questions:1) I suppose I have to take out links one by one from each side, so alternating between the two. Is this correct?2) Do I take out the first link on side (A,B) or on side (CDEF) ? It looks a bit counterintuitive but I have the impression the first link has to be removed from the shortest side, possibly ending up with no extra links on the short side and still 3 (or 2) on the long side. Strap vs Bracelet
Do youll feel there are some brands that just look better with one over the other?You are def. influenced by how they are normally shown (rolex on a bracelet) but there are some brands that have a more even split between the two.I only care for my rolex sports models on its bracelet, and I only care for a Panerai if it is on a leather band.For some reason Panerai and AP's to me just look perfect with the contrast between materials from being on a strap/band. I was contemplating getting the bracelet for my Diver, but am actually not in love with it. I realllllly like the bracelet, just as though I really liked the bracelet for a Panerai, but I think in general......AP's look better on a strap of sorts.Therefore...I am thinking of picking up a black hornback > bracelet.Thoughts? Anyone else have some generalized opinions on the subject?
