Panerai PAM00376 wrist watches news:
I was in Grand Rapids, MI this past weekend and learned that it's now A LOT harder to buy a Rolex in GR.Apparently two out of three available locations for purchasing a Rolex no longer have the line. One of which I spoke to was a Jarod's near the Rivertown Mall. Up until VERY recently, this Jarod's location (which is owned by jewelry giant Sterling) carried Rolex. In fact, they used to carry both Rolex and Omega. Omega was the first to go - about a year ago. Now Tag Heuer occupies the premium space once held by Rolex in their store. Their next best line in this store is Tissot. It was unclear to me whether the decision to pull Rolex out of this store was Sterling's decision or Rolex's. The other store which lost Rolex was a long time AD located in the downtown Grand Rapids area....the name escapes me at the moment.
I had a little success on eBay this weekend. I was searching to find a vintage Benrus watch to add to my little collection and I found a decent one with the original bracelet. I found this:It was listed at $10.00. I figured I may as well get it because it would go with my collection well. As I started to read more about the auction I realized the watch I was REALLY after was part of this watch lotI became very excited and thought that this would go quickly out of my price range. Somehow (I think due to poor listing by the seller) I managed to get the aforementioned Benrus watch and the watch I've been chasing for months for $66.00. This is the watch that Barry, Greg, and Adam know I've been searching for. So two watches, one I wanted because of the good price, the other because it is something I've been outbid on 4 times recently. Overall I'm very happy and should be receiving the watches this week.
My eye caught this article and indeed it's encouraging news, Bremont wins funding to bring watchmaking to UK - TelegraphI am attracted to a Bremount and probably will pull the trigger at some time, but for now I'm distracted by Swiss brands and there I feel lays Bremont's challenge. How do you convince people to part with 3K plus for a watch by a company founded in 2002? British design with Swiss movements is attractive but...........Submarine at ?3295image.jpgand PO at ?3950image.jpgI know I would have the change in my pocket for the next watch but, the PO coaxial movement would do the deal for me. Am I in the minority?
Morning folks,Having had a lucky escape, thanks to the forum and its members, I'm looking for a PO, I don't want to buy new as I want it for my daily wearer for work, I'm sure some will understand that if I buy new ill be worrying about knocking it about too much whereas a used one already with a few marks in my mind stops me worrying about that. I have a GMT that My wife bought me (new)a few years ago that I wear most of the time, scratches I don't mind but wearing at work I prefer not, anyway, to the point........having spent a few hours doing comparisons with my photos of the fake and genuine have I learnt anything.....I hope so....this pics is taken from the net and I would say is genuine....am I right????After 30 years in the waiting.......GMT IIc
hi, there is a red dot near the case:see image. is this normal?
