Thomas Morf is Hanhart’s New CEO
Effective October 1, former Carl F. Bucherer CEO Thomas Morf took charge of the watch brand Hanhart, which is based in Diessenhofen, Switzerland, and in G¨¹tenbach, in the German Black Forest. Morf server as CEO at Carl F. Bucherer until May, 2010. The brand also announced that the Gaydoul Group is now the majority shareholder of parent company Hanhart Group AG. The most important minority shareholder stays the Matter Group AG and the Astraia Holding AG. Klaus Eble remains Managing Director of the production site A. Hanhart GmbH & Co. KG, G¨¹tenbach.Hanhart was established by Johann Adolf Hanhart in Diessenhofen, Germany in 1882. The brand is known for chronographs. It manufactured the pilot¡¯s chronograph ¡°Calibre 40¡± from 1938, a piece that is still highly sought-after by collectors today.At Baselworld 2009, Hanhart presented a new collection of mechanical chronographs under the name Primus. Introducing: The Panerai Lo Scienziato Luminor 1950 Tourbillon GMT Titanio
Panerai has released their hero piece for SIHH 2016, and we were not disappointed. The watch is a very cool skeletonized tourbillon GMT, the Lo Scienziato Luminor 1950 Tourbillon GMT in titanium.   1 OF 3 The watch you see here is 47mm in diameter, made using the new technique of Direct Laser Sintering, which allows for the case to be extremely light (the movement only weighs 23 grams). Direct Laser Sintering is the 3D printing of .02 mm layers that are welded together to create a full form. The movement used is the manual-winding P.2005/T, which Panerai’s in-house movement used in the previous Lo Scienziato skeletonized watches. The new laser process allows for the watch to weigh 35% less than the P.2005/S movement. Credit where credits due
I 've just got the bill for work I had done on a 6309 & my old 8229. 2 services, fit new Bezels & crystals, polish cases and repair the day/date on the 6309. Total $200 - - - I reckon that's brilliant. This probably won't be any good to anybody who's not in Australia but the company is called DAYCO in Perth 61-8-94810618. Thanks SeanO for the number.
