Tag Heuer WAT2314.BA0956 wrist watches news:
This month on aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer you can enter to win a really interesting watch from MARCH LA.B. Proprietors of modern watches with a 1960's aesthetic, these watches can be summed up by explaining that they are designed by a hip Frenchman who has a penchant for classic American muscle cars. Up for grabs is an undeniably interesting watch in their AM1 collection. This particular model is 40mm wide in steel with a black dial and matching black lizard strap. The seconds hands is a cool racing green and the crystal on the back of the case showing them movement is also colored green. There is just a little bit more green on the uniquely designed crown. This model features a Swiss ETA 2892 automatic movement, but you can check out a previous review I did of a smaller version of the AM1 with a quartz movement here. Price for the MARCH LA.B AM1 40 Black Automatic watch is $2,295 and you can enter for a chance to win one below. To Enter You Must: 1. Comment on this post below (on aBlogtoR
A collection that took more than 25 years to amass, and consisted of more than 5,800 Swatch & Art pieces sold on Tuesday for USD $6 Million. The winning bidder was a European institution, claiming the win after over 30 bids with two other opponents in the action. 1 OF 2 Swatch has been making Swatch & Art models since 1983 as collectible watches inspired by pop culture. Artists, musicians and fashion designers have contributed designs over the decades. An example is the model above, designed by artist Markus Linnenbrink whose work can be found in museums all around the world - in addition to people's wrists, thanks to Swatch. The seller of the "superlot", Mr. Paul Dunkel said, “I have been very happy and emotional to see the international interest in my collection over the past months. This is a true testament to the universal appeal of Swatch. I would like to deeply thank Sotheby’s for their hard work, as well as my art advisor, 1858 Lim
A question for Tom, Will and/or Rene:I've seen the 920 series pocket watch movements referred to as the premier calibers in railroad grade watches of the early 1900's (1920-ish?). What would you consider premier manual wind movements in Hamilton wristwatches? What models could you find them in, and what years are they from? If it makes it easier, I'm looking for solid gold versions. I realize there may be quite a few of them to list, so please don't consider this a request for a complete catalog. Any help at all would be appreciated. One other question: I have a Storm King with a 736 18j manual wind - how does this rate - top tier, middle of the pack, or close to the bottom in quality? thanks in advance for any help!Dennis
I just picked up a 3523.80, first Omega. I was wondering what the general opinion of them is? They seem to be lower priced than most other speedmasters and I don't see them mentioned too often. I wanted an alternative to my TT DJ. I felt silly in my DJ with jeans and a t-shirt, so I wanted something I could wear up or down.
thanks, swissluxury!!!
