Patek Philippe 3445 wrist watches news:
This was honestly not the easiest watch to review. You think it would be simple, but you basically have a limited edition Timex that you are talking about - made for J. Crew of all places (watch style incarnate right?). Regardless of these surface level facts, is a lot more to this watch than meets the eye. You first need to understand a bit about it, and what went in to it. Timex was called upon by J. Crew to design a classic looking military watch that could fall smack-dab in the center of an Americana photo-mosaic. Like stylish jeans, the watch was meant to look pre-vintaged. Like your Vietnam veteran relative worn it during the last two months of their tour of duty, brought it home, put it in a tin box, and then handed it to you after all this time - in good condition by aged. The J. Crew Timex Military vintage style watch does have a value in today's America, especially because it is a product of today's America.Read my limited edition J. do the hamiltons have any good way of identifying if they are fake or not? anything to look for when buying online? would a fake come with papers, boxes, etc? i don't mind buying things online and obviously the whole 'if it looks too good to be true, it probably is' mindset is always there. but when i stumble across a site like this: [URL DELETED BY BOSCOE - REASON: WTF DOES NOT PROMOTE FAKE WATCHES IN ANY WAY. ALSO WE ONLY ALLOW LINKS TO SPONSORS' SALES SITES] it's kind of disturbing.
Hey all, I'm looking to pull the trigger on an IWC portuguese IW371417 and I was left with a few unanswered questions after leaving the storeI'm getting the white face with blue numerals and blue croc strap. Not the power reserve as the funds wont allow it (still a student)I've seen while drooling around the forum that some of you have it with the display back. Do they all come with it or is this added later on like it is with the Speedies? The watch doesnt come with a deployantI looked around ebay and it seems to be going for $450 from a reputable seller. What do you guys think? Also, will the 42mm seem very small next to my 45 Planet Ocean? Thanks a lot guys!
Ijust picked up a bunch of vintage watches. I am familiar with all of them except one. It is a Croton automatic. The Face says "Paul Du Pree" I see that in 2008 Crorton made a "Paul Du Pree" watch, but this is from around the 50's. The crystal needs to be replaced, so its hard to see the name, but its there. Does anyone know anything about this watch? I posted this question in the vintage forum at watchuseek but got no replies (kind of weird I thought).ThanksJustin
