Anyone know this Elgin model?
I've had this Elgin for a few years now, I've never seen another like it anywhere, I've always wanted to get information on it. The case is nickel plate with no wearthrough yet, the crystal does not look original as it does not have a perfect fit and the crown is a completely different color. The watch keeps very good time, well enough to be a reliable daily timekeeper if necessary. I believe that it was produced sometime in the Twenties. Thank you in advance for any information. What would you buy if you had $10k to spend on a watch?Please take into consideration that I am a 36 year old engineer. I am very classic and like to wear a pair of jean and Hugo Boss dress shirt. Question on Speedy Movements
Guys, need your help. I'm in the market for a Speedy, but possibly leaning towards a date complication. Depending on the reference, I note they are cheaper than the iconic 3570 or 3573. Is it because the 1164 or 3304 movements are inferior & less dependable than the 1861 or 1863 movements?Appreciate your thoughts.

Calatrava 5120-J problem
Hi all, I have a problem and was hoping someone could help. I bought a PP 5120-J for my Dad last October from an AD in Israel, while I was there on business. I gave the watch to my Dad for Christmas. He has worn it intermittently, not very regularly, but now it has completely stopped working. You can set the time and wind it, but it won't start. Has this happened to anyone? Any idea what the problem could be?Thank you,VM

Bracelet sizing.
I bought my ExpII about a month ago and had to have a link taken out before I left the store. It seemed ok as far as fit at the time, but now it feels a little to tight. It has the expansion link but that makes it too big. So I had the AD adjust it with the micro adjust and it��s still too much and if I add the original link back in and move the micro adjust all the way forward it��s also too large. So My question is, does Rolex make something like a half link? This would make it about perfect and also allow for some summer wrist swelling. Thanks.
