- The face of the watch is very clear . . . large numbers that are easy to read. Style is very similar to the previous watch I wore. I like it very much. . . simple and elegant.

Hello forum. I have recently become infatuated with vintage Hamiltons, since inheriting my Grandfather's 10k gold Parker. I'm looking to acquire another specimen, and of course have turned to eBay, where you're always likely to pay too much. Hamilton overload! There are some great Hamiltons up right now (holy cow, how 'bout those Coronados at $3.5K+++!). I'm trying to relax and do my homework. But I am an impulse buyer and with so many nice watches just a click away, well, I fear something is coming my way soon. Of course the solid gold watches intrigue me more than the filled ones (though a GF in excellent condition is certainly a possibility). There's a nice Piping Rock up right now, but the guy wants $2.2K for it. Is this in the ball park? Definitely more than I planned to spend. It does look like a nice one. How uncommon is this watch at this price? Any recommendations for other models in gold? Is older always better? And BTW, how much does an engraved back reduce the valu

I'd been looking at getting one of the GMT watches from Debaufre for a few months now and when I'd heard they were having a sale, I decided to finally buy one. For a long time, I'd been on the fence between the 39 and the 42mm sizes, I couldn't really find any comparision shots on the web comparing size from watches I'd already owned. I have four 40mm invicta divers (8926, 8928, 9210 and the 9094) that I rotate with a couple of 42mm Seiko divers (SKX007 and SKX009). The Seikos are still pretty comfortable but they're as large as I like to go. I also have a 45mm Invicta OG and 47mm Offshore Classic that I'd picked up last year. Now they just sit in the watchbox I just don't like the feeling of the big watches any more......When I saw both sizes in the Pepsi GMT were on sale for $515, I really started to pay attention. When someone on the forum offered an additional coupon code for another 10%, I had to pull the trigger immediately! Total price now was $463 plus $18 for ground shi
