Got two new additions in the mail today.I don't know why I wince everytime I see this watch. I guess it reminds me of a case adjustment gone terribly wrong.I love these recased WWII movements. I have 2 Elgin 539's, 2 Watham 6/0'42's, a Bulova 10aksch and a Hamilton Sectometer. And now this 554.Of course any information is appreciated, Joel

I guess this means the Seiko monster needs a new home.....I saw photos of this watch when it was released, in the J&A forum and really liked the look of it. It is the Seiko SRP043K2 - or 'spork' as it has been tagged.There are plenty of reviews for this watch online so I won't add too much to the discussion for now, except:- A 50hr power reserve- but no day of the week display- 200m WR- 4R15 movement - like the 7s26, no hacking or manual winding- Rubber strap is very comfortable. SS bracelet also available.- Very cool blue lume - bright but not sure if as long lasting as Monster. (Edit - pics accurate - it is definitely green...must be going colour blind in my old age.. )- 43mm dial with very clear and bright numbers. I also prefer the narrower bezel over the large one of the Monster. However, at least for now, the bezel is the tightest I have come across - not sure if this is normal but should loosen up a bit over time.- With such a large area of dial I kind of wish the crystal wa

My first TAG watch!! Now I need to source a band....
Hi All,I bought a TAG CAS2111 today which came with the metal bracelet and a couple brown straps and I'm very happy with it. I am now looking to source a navy blue strap for it. I need to price it up on Monday but I believe it is about $450 for the strap and then another $300 or so for the buckle. I'd also like to explore aftermarket straps though as I've seen some really nice ones on this forum. It's a shame there doesn't seem to be any aftermarket manufacturers based in Sydney, Australia but I'll request some quotes from known international sellers this weekend and hopefully buy one in the next few days. I'll most likely go for alligator strap as this is what the FC6292 is and I loved it. Just a question - has anyone had a genuine TAG strap and an aftermarket one? How is the aftermarket one comp

Here's the story: I have had my eye on Panerai for awhile now, but hadn't really been able to pinpoint something I really had to have. I was thinking about the 676 for awhile, as I liked several aspects of it.I liked the sandwich dial, the sunburst dial, the exhibition caseback, the small seconds dial, the crown guard and the size.Let me be more specific on size: Whenever I tried on a more traditionally sized Panerai, it always felt too large and clunky for me. I don't have large wrists. I liked the look of the large Panerai, but it always felt like it was too much. So, I thought the 676 was a fair compromise.Fast forward to Saturday, December 15th.
