Breitling Cosmonaute Limited Edition
The year was 1962. The space race was well under way, and as a supplier to civilian and military aviation, Breitling took a keen interest in this new adventure. Using the Navitimer chronograph as a base, the brand’s technicians developed the Cosmonaute, a space-going version of this instrument indicating the daily 24 hours in a single sweep of the dial. This configuration prevented confusion between midday and midnight. On May 24, 1962, astronaut Scott Carpenter tested this instrument under real-life conditions during his orbital flight aboard the Aurora 7 capsule. For its 125th anniversary, Breitling is issuing a limited series of the model that became the first wrist chronograph in space. Only 1,000 of these Cosmonaute watches will be produced, all equipped with an original version of the 24-hour dial. Reflecting its character as a 1960s design icon, the Cosmonaute Limited Edition is fitted exclusively with the rigid perforated Air Racer bracelet.The Cosmonaute Limited Edition

Seiko Spring Drive: Impressions
Greetings,A friend of mine and I had a watch swap so that we could check out each other's watch. I sent him my Bell & Ross and he sent me his Seiko Spring Drive (SNR001). I posted an image of the watch on the "what are you wearing today" thread and a couple of people made comments asking what I thought of it. Well...here's what I think.Firstly, Seiko has done an incredible job with their Spring Drive series. There is a nice article on the Spring Drive in the November 2007 issue of iW magazine. I thought it interesting that Seiko decided to introduce the Spring Drive as an effort, not only to move them up the status ladder of horology, but to stay competitive in the watch market as a whole. Fortunately, or unfortunately depending on your point of view, the Chinese are probably going to be taking over the lower end watch industry in the same way they're taking over other manufacturing segments. Recent discontinued models (help)
Hi guys,I have recently fallen in love with Panerai but am yet to own one.I am looking at purchasing either a 000, 112 or 111. It seems that as these models are discontinued and that they are going for quite a bit used.An example of this is a 2010 000 on watchfinder for ?3150 or a 2006 111 for ?4000.Am I right in saying these are expensive? If so what would you advise in terms of obtaining one of these models? Thanks

I'm stuck ! I have a 39 mm OP Blue dial - love it ! Almost too much to wear every day Also have a Tudor Black bay blue ...The Sub no date would be a good choice but I have tried it on several times and find it just too large for me The black bay is a tad large but wearable / sub is just bigger I'd like to stay in the current line up - Thought abut the Explorer ? It's in the running but something about it has not clicked What else should be in the running ?.... I'd like to stay with Rolex
