Patek Philippe 5077 P wrist watches news:
Welcome back to an watches-dealer original series, where we discuss important stores that sell watches all over the world. Each store we profile has an interesting story to tell about where they operate and who they sell to. Whether you buy watches from brick and mortar retailers or prefer to buy watches online, these are the stores that help shape our watch culture around the globe. There is a long list of stores to cover, but if there is a retail location in your favorite city that we simply can¡¯t miss, let us know in the comments below.Where to buy watches in Greenwich, Connecticut? When most watch lovers hear "Greenwich," they often think of Greenwich, England which is home to the Royal Observatory and the Prime Meridian (hence GMT being Greenwich Mean Time). But if you are an affluent watch lover in the greater New York City area, you might instead think, "that's where I live." Normally you would not expect to find a high end watch store in a quiet town of 62 thousand. But as a des
So the argument goes:A 12-hour second-time-zone display with no day-night indicator doesn't tell you whether that time from back home is AM or PM, and so any dual-time watch just must include some means of showing that information. Thus, the popular design for most dual-time watches is a 24-hour GMT hand and a 24-hour bezel. And either the hand is movable separately, or the bezel is.Countering that argument is: A 24-hour hand requires mental fiddling to read, and really how hard is it to know whether the time zone in question is AM or PM?But I think there are two use cases at work here. The first is the person who needs to know UTC time. There are not many people left in that category, but one group in which I participate are radio amateurs. Radio amateurs generally log things in terms of UTC, and many buy desk clocks with two displays for the purpose. A watch that displays true GMT (=UTC) is a fun thing for such people to own.The other use case are for travelers. Sure, some people are

I am considering adding a vintage Patek Perpetual Calendar Chronograph to my collection.I have done a lot of reading around the 3 different variations of the 3970 series and have also been looking at the 5970.Obviously prices are very very robust and so trying to find anything at a fair price is a challenge.I am looking to buy a watch to keep and to wear and do not have any plans to flip or hold for purely investment purposes. However i am keen to buy wisely and select one of the more sought after models / metals.i will probably focus on the 3970 for the time being but am also open to the 5970 should i find a good one at a fair price.Any input on which of the particular variations to get and the rarity of different metals dial combinations would be very useful. Thanks in advance
