Just a few pics of the LV in Action. A little salt build up after a rough day at the beach..My Friend Scott, the cellar door manager for Torbreck Winery in the Barossa Valley. My LV and my uncles recently "restored" Omega Seamaster from the 70's ?and his newly aquired quartz two tone Certina that he snaged from an AD for $300 AUD...I think its a great piece at that price.This is for Leo...Muscles in Thai Green Curry...Amazing!!I had the luck of being in Adelaide at the time of the Tour of Australia. This is the "comeback" race for Lance Armstrong. The Red arrows point to Lance, Team Astana with the Black, Yellow, and White Gyro Helmet. A great little place to eat in McLaren Vale. The Sydney Harbour Bridge, The Opera House and a Pratt and Whitney departing SYD for SFO...the end of a great trip to see the family. First Post:Old Citizen and New Reactor
Hi..first post and thought that I would show my oldest digital and my newest.The first is a Citizen "Wind Surfer" that I beleive is about 20 years old. I bought it new for about $125 as best as I can remember.Have always done the battery changes myself .don't know how many times..! Still wear it boating and working around the house.Anybody else have one?The second is my newest that my wife just gave me. Its a Reactor Graviton Tide watch ani-digi. She is such a sweetheart! She knows I love watches and we do a lot of boating so she researched the Reactor watch line and thought it might be good.It is supposed to have a Japanese movement and I have read that its a Citizen.Really pleased so far. Its a big watch at 45mm and heavy at 217 grams! The warranty is great and for 2years and after that its $20 for a battery change,pressure and seal check and polish and shipping.Just have to see how well it hold up

WR affects service time?
I am sorry if the question is stupid but does the fact that a (mechanical) watch is more or less water resistant affect the interval time required between service? The question arose after a discussion I had with a friend and comes from the observation that the watch that (as far as I know) has the longest interval time recommended between services is the vacuum sealed quartz GS, it sounds reasonable that if a watch is sealed, as in divers watch, less dust gets in and lubricants does not get old as quickly as in a less water resistant watch but I never heard any seller or technician say anything like this.GLF
