Hi all,I am a newb here, and have a few questions that I am hoping you can help me out with. I am a member of other forums in different interest areas, and I have always found them the best source of information! I have wanted a Seamaster for a long time, and am finally doing my actual research before I take the plunge After trying to read and decypher the model number translation charts, I finally went to the Omega website and clicked on what I wanted - turned out to be a 2220.80I want to do things the right way, and would love info on the following questions if possible:1. Where to purchase?I know that ideally a purchase would be made from a local authorized dealer for the full factory warranty, etc. I have also noticed places like Amazon that sell this model as well for what I assume is a pretty aggressive price, and they offer a 2-year warranty through them since they are not authorized. So I Got my Watch in Yesterday's Mail, Something Strange!
Hey guys !In yesterday's mail I received my 1917 Sterling Silver Waltham Trench Watch that I got FOR FREE using just a portion of my bay bucks that I amassed over the past quarter.Just by looking at the seller's photos I knew that this one had MANY issues but not a big deal, I wanted the case!Walthams really didn't come in this sterling silver Illinois case, the crown and stem were missing, broken movement, bad crystal, dented case, bad hands and a VERY strange looking dial.Within minutes I started to break down the watch and once the movement was out of the case my suspicions were correct, the dial was VERY strange!This oddity was VERY difficult to see in the seller's pictures due to the radium burned yellow plastic crystal (glass turns purple when radium burned).The strange thing is that Waltham did not make double sunk size 3/0s dials ! ! ! But once I got the movement out of the case I saw something that I haven't ever seen before ! ! !It was a PAPER military numeral ring with radiu

Diff ref for diver steel
I have a confusion here between diver with ref 15703ST and 15710 ST. To me they looks exactly the same have the same movement but why diff ref no? I heard they do some minor changes in dial and movement, but it still the same 3120 movement.
