Let's talk about weird. There is a good weird, and there is certainly bad weird. Which category any particular "weird" falls into it highly subjective. On most accords this watch is weird. I mean look at it? It is unlike almost everything else out there. A one of a kind creation by Yvan Arpa's Artya brand, this watch belongs to the "Coup de foudre" collection which is an ongoing series of watches that have "lightning struck" cases - hence the "Tesla" part of the name. Basically, Yvan's shop employs the use of a large Tesla coil array. Electricity (which is basically lightning) travels between the two coils and the watch case is stuck in the middle. These pieces undergo wild transformative effects aided by artists who help engrave and colorize the metal. A lot of the cases that undergo this treatment are unusable, but the ones that survive are pretty interesting. Ok so this is what I was told:- 44 with a bracelet (Ti or SS)- new diver colors including pink(?) - no ceramics- Ladies¡¯ Black cerami RO¡¯s- white ceramic perpetual RO- SS RO with blue dial and gold numerals- a couple of new 42 but no ceramicsNot sure how accurate the above is but it¡¯s a good start.

I¡¯m in London for a few days and was wondering if the Salon on New Bond St or any other ADs were worth visiting (or do they have a robust stock in the cases or are they are ). Incoming 5140p
I finally found a Like New example of the 5140p-001 (blue dial). I looked for one for about 7 months, and I recently saw a very imperfect example in person. I passed. Having never bought a pre-loved watch before, I needed it as close to perfect as possible. I found it. This must have sat in a safe for most of its life. I am over the moon. I feel very fortunate. I've wanted a platinum Patek and I love the 240 movement. I am done...for a long time! Thanks for looking!
