Philip Stein 2FFAMOPSS wrist watches news:
Fellow Omegians: I am proud to announce I have finally landed on the Planet Ocean. I have been eyeing this 45.5mm "wrist dominator" for a few months. Today was the day. Here's the first pic of my new PO:
hi gang, anyone have meet up plans for vegas.i think the last i heard it was morton's on sat?let's exchange phone numbers etc i will be there friday afternoon ifanyone wants to meet up prior.best,cl
I have been enjoying a new Accutron VX200 Diver for the past several days and thought I would do a review.Size and heft: This is a 43mm dial with a large, easy-to-grasp crown with the Accutron tuning fork logo etched on it. It has a substantial feel and heft but not so heavy that it is an effort to wear.Dial: The dial is done in a matte black finish. It is easy to read. The red and black unidirectional bezel is done in the same matte finish. I don't know what the lume material is, but it glows like a flashlight. I suspect Super-luminova but I don't know that for a fact. Even the logo at the 12 o'clock position glows brightly. The second hand is black with a sporty red tip with the tuning fork logo at the opposite end. The date is at the 3 o'clock position absent a cyclops. SWISS MADE is at the 6 o'clock position. Sapphire crystals front and back.Movement: An ETA 2824-2 powers the watch. It is smoooooth. This is my first ETA time piece. I haven't checked the accuracy since
I have a Zodiac automatic with slow set date from around 1950. I have had the watch serviced a few years ago and the guy told me never to wind the watch by the crown, only to use the automatic wind to start the watch. So when i try to wind at the crown it is very "Tight". I dont know what calibre the movement is, but that cant be right to be so hard to wind at the crown. I thought you could wind an automatic if you wanted. Any thoughts? Do I need someone else to go through this movement again? I'll post pics tonight
Hey guysI've always had the Dealer change my straps on my 44mm novelty and just wanted to check if its the same process as changing the 42mm royal oak offshore straps. I read somewhere that on the 44, you need to remove the screws on the strap first instead of the ones on the lugs like on the 42Thanks!
