In 2010 Cartier released a brand new collection of men's watches called the Calibre. It was rather revolutionary for the brand for a couple of reasons, bringing Cartier's men's collection into the 21st Century. It was also a mass produced watch that contained an in-house made Cartier movement - something that previously only existed in their most high-end pieces.I knew the Calibre would be a hit from the start when I first discussed it here. It was handsome, the right size, and very much what a modern guy wanted in a Cartier. Bvlgari, errBulgari always looks better in all caps right? While I have been seeing lots of confused designs from Bulgari as of late, this Diagono X-Pro is something I am not at all confused about liking (which is to say that I do like it). The cool masculine watch takes a few lessons from the polished looks of the Bulgari design play book, and adds a testosterone powered stamp of approval on it. When it comes down to it, while this is a great watch in and of itself, it feels like Bulgari's answer to the Hublot Big Bang. Not only in design, but also when it comes to the "fusion" of materials. Bulgari knows that with its performance over the last few years and the current economy, it can't dick around. It needs to give people what they want - which is apparently still luxury sport watches.One thing that is hard to tell is that the middle section of the case is actually all black - all DLC black for that matter. Why buy IWC?
I am sure that aficionados of the brand all have their own reasons for owning IWC. What are the reasons you decided to buy this brand? Is it because you wanted a less "popularly known" brand, or did you buy based on the design, or maybe based on a specific feature or for a technical reason? I am just curious. To me, I am interested because they seem like a durable brand and one which is well crafted and less well known than some. So I guess I am attracted to it for a mix of reasons. What about you?

New to Omega!
Got a question guys! I'm in the market for an Omega, and I can purchase them through the exchange on base. But, I don't have a whole lot of knowledge about them. I do know that I don't want a quartz. So, is the model 2254.50.00, Sea Master Professional 300M date chronometer an automatic? I can get this watch for $1719.00 USD! Is that a good price? Please let me know!R/Woody
