- This is a beautiful watch. The lapse kept coming loose. Stones are still in place. Only worn it twice so far.

A sister company to Omega, with a common marketing arrangement and later common ownership since the 1920s 1955 Tissot World Timer, cased in 18k yellowThe inner dial rotates on a 24 hour pace and you read the time in the marked cities on the 24 hour applied mixed Arabic and dart indices. The hands move at a 12 hour pace and are read on the bezel. Just got it yesterday, and it proved difficult to photo. I only had time for relatively quick snaps. The reference book shows the bezel appearance much better than my photoYou pull the crown to set the time and press the button @ 2 and it disengages the hands and the 24 hour disk, allowing you to set a proper offset between the 24 hour and 12 hour indicators. Unlike a GMT, you set the "offset" between 12 and 24 hours indications once and just change the hands to local time. The time back home is still easily readable from the inner disk.Above, the local time is about 9 pm. Since I am on East Coast USA, New York is shown at 21:15 on the r

I got up early, especially early thanks to Daylight Savings Time, to go to the NAWCC meeting this morning. It was a first time for me so I thought I'd tell you how it went.$22 to get in and there was probably about 40 tables manned by various folks selling their stuff. You meet all kinds of people at these events - many with questionable hygene habits I would venture to guess - but all interested in things that tell time.I picked up immediately that you negotiate with the vendors, maybe not so much as at an Arabian market, but everything is negotiable at a mart. A lot of people buying just gold.My first buy was this Rodney. It has an original dial but it's kind of coated in nicotene or something. It cleaned up pretty well and the case is very nice. A pretty good buy for $70, I think. I'm still not crazy about the dial though.I have a couple of projects that I'm trying to finish and I was looking for movements with good balances. I found a nice 986A and installed it in this YGF

Hello all. I¡¯m new to the forum and was hoping to get some feedback. I¡¯ve had a Deep Sea 116660 for over 3 years and just recently noticed, what looks like, a chip in the bezel. The apparent chip is radial and ranges from the 56.5 - 57.5 second mark on the outside of the bezel. I¡¯m aware of the brittlesness of ceramics, but suprised by the ¡°uniformity¡± of the chip. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Any information is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
