The sixth edition of the biennial Only Watch charity auction took place on November 7th at Geneva’s La R¨¦serve, with 44 one-of-a-kind timepieces, sold under the hammer of watch expert Aurel Bacs, Co-Founder of Phillips in association with Bacs & Russo, raising an astounding 11.2 million Swiss francs ($11.2 million) for the cause of battling Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.The highlight of Only Watch 2015 was a unique Patek Philippe Ref. 5016 Grande Complication (below) that sold for 7.3 million Swiss francs ($7.26 million), setting a new record for the highest price ever paid for a wristwatch at auction.Another standout was the Tudor Black Bay One, below (which we covered here), fetching a final price of 375,000 Swiss francs, more than 100 times its pre-auction estimate. Hamilton StormKing IV Military
My first attempt to post photos, so bear with me. The above photos are of a Hamilton StormKing IV Military that came in last month. I bought it on the ¡°Bay¡± as a ¡°Buy It Now¡± listing. The photos have been taken by Timewise, who has been servicing it and cleaning it up for me. Thanks to him, this watch looks great and operates fantastically!!! For those who can provide more information, please do. There does not seem to be a lot written about this model. For a company like Hamilton, which worshipped standardization, the StormKing IV Military was an odd watch. It operates on a 24 hour cycle. In other words the hour hand circles the dial only once in 24 hours.The watch was apparently available from 1957 to about 1961. As can be seen, it uses a 735 grade movement, which has been modified by changing out the hour gear to a larger one that slows down the speed of the hour hand. Oddly, another gear (see arrow) has been added to speed up the second hand to a regular 60-second cycl

Seckron Models and Dials
I just got my first Seckron. Rene Rondeau's book indicates that there were two case types. There are also at least two dial types: black enamel with white markings and numerals and White enamel with black numerals. (I have the Black enamel dial) Can anyone post pictures of the two case types? Also, if there are other dial variations, it would be great to see pictures of those also.

Would you prefer a coke with SS or BCLs, a coke with PCLs, or a coke in precious metal? What do you think the kind of coke will come out amongst the above? As far as coming out, I don't think it's going to be Basel 2018. I know a lot of people would like that, but I don't foresee that happening. I think Rolex is focusing on other timepiece changes and of course a new movement. Your thoughts?
