Hi Deep 6,Well I have done all my courses and have a job with a company called Sub Sea 7 you might have heard of them. I also qualified as a welder so I will be getting that work as well. Hopefully we will meet one day.Joe
How do you guys feel about the wording ROLEX and seriel# that is now on the inside of the submariner watches and others. Should I look for a used sub without it or not be concerned and get a new one with it?Thanks
First, thanks to Atlanta Dave for his help. An SKX175 arrived in dinged up condition a few months ago so it went back, and since then I have been looking to add another to fill the slot that was vacated by the OM. Picked up a President's bracelet after seeing Dave's and getting his thoughts on it, and then just had to wait for a decent deal on the watch. Turned out to be an 009 which works for me! I have now been at NAWCC compliments of Gallet Watch company for 4 months. In that time I have cataloged about 1800 timepieces adding proper( I hope?) descriptions and pictures. The database of uploaded pictures now exceeds 10,300 photographs of cataloged pieces.I thought I would update you all with some of the database features open to non members, members do have a few added privileges. Apart from finding out about upcoming events, and general news, additionally you can search three important ways:1) Museum Collection - basically search my manufacturer or by a keyword like automatic wristwatch, alarm even size or jewel count!2) Library - Title or Author or Subject.3) NAWCC Publications and Bulletins.To-days thread (part 1)will cover 'Museum collection'.First searching for Museum Collection i.e. items within the museum collection. The main page is here:Welcome to NAWCCFrom here click on 'MUSEUM' tabNational Watch & Clock MuseumThen 'Museum Collection'>'Search the Collection'N

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!!!To all those that have or are serving their country, let's take a moment to say THANK YOU for the selfless sacrafices you and your family have made in the name of your country!Let's honor our military,The men and women who serve,Whose dedication to our countryDoes not falter, halt or swerve.Let's respect them for their courage; They're ready to do what's rightTo keep America safe,So we can sleep better at night.Let's support and defend our soldiers,Whose hardships are brutal and cruel,Whose discipline we can't imagine,Who follow each order and rule. Here's to those who choose to be warriorsAnd their helpers good and true; They're fighting for Ameri
