Ulysse Nardin 265-90-3/92 wrist watches news:
Seeing how tritium gas tubes are made will surely remain among?the coolest experiences I have had on?these horology-related manufacture visits.?Tritium gas tubes are these extremely tiny (about 0.5mm?thick and at least 1.3mm long) glass tubes that are filled with (mildly) radioactive tritium gas ¨C although, as we will see, there is a lot more to them than that. What these tubes do is that?they are guaranteed to glow brightly and continuously for at least 10 years, without having to be charged by external light (like the luminescent material used on other watches),?or needing to be activated with electricity or otherwise. These little tubes just glow, unstoppably, for up to 20?years, no matter what. The company that is manufacturing these tubes is called MB-Microtec, situated near?Bern, Switzerland.?They are?the only company on the market today that is capable?of manufacturing these?barely visible glass tubes and filling them with tritium, thanks to their special know-how for working wit

After a fairly long search I picked up my first Panerai: a 219! I've been hoping to own a Destro for a while now so I'm pretty stoked about this one. Sorry no pics yet. I'll have the watch in exactly one week and I'll be sure to post some pics then!
Hello folks,Need advice. I called around all the official Rolex dealers in my area and they all have crazy waiting lists. The Rolex boutique around here even stopped taking names down. Many out of town ADs won’t even deal with you if you are not local so I gave up on out of state ADs. I found one Rolex AD who said they had 5 people on the waiting list for the white Daytona Ceramic and that I would have to pay half down as a deposit to get on the list. They said they get about 1 every 4 months. They said msrp is $12,400 so I’m assuming that’s the price. These people have been in business for over 25 years. Would you do it?. Also, is it safe to pay the deposit over the phone?. Also, if Rolex increases the price, is the msrp locked in at the time I put the deposit?. How long do you think it’ll be until you can just get one without waiting?. Thanks!
