Piaget G0A34024 wrist watches news:
Watched a television watch show this afternoon. The host had a low-cut afro tonight, but that's a different story entirely.I've heard talk of "The japanese and swiss movement factories better watch out, because the Chinese are catching up!" After viewing the obligatory close-up shots on tonights show, I must respectfully disagree. I've never seen movements quite like these. Rough surfaces and edges. That overly shiny look of porous metals, and decoration that could only be seen to be described. It looked like 1/4 scale decorations on a 1/24th scale model. Many of you may be aware of this already, but this is the first time I've seen Chinese movements up close. They made the Miyota look like an El-Primero.
New Memeber at WTF - long time collectorMy collection appears to be on the low rent side compaired to what I've been reading so far.At any rate, has anyone had any experience with Maurice Lacroix?I am obsessed with this watch - ML27 movement retail around $1,700.
Hello all,I have always been into vintage Rolexes and Omegas. Never considered a AP until now. However the Royal Oak has been growing on me every time I see it. I have heard though, that they are not as robust as, say, a Sub for daily wear. Combine that with the fact that service cost for an AP is much higher than what RSC charges (which is already thievery IMO), I am interested to know what you as owners of the RO feel. I am looking at the 15300 or even the 14790. My wrists are 6.75 and I also tend to gravitate towards smaller watches.
Love these, wore them both today!EricE
