Was it normal to have the movement upgraded to the 'm' spec in 2000ish, or was it an option to have this done, or is someone 'pulling my leg'?
Official NOMOS Website: glashuette/ Press release March 2011For people who think outside the box — and who like complicated watches, if they are beautifully simple: Tangomat GMT and Z¨¹rich Weltzeit have arrived!Glash¨¹tte, June 2010. All the time in the world—times two: the NOMOS Glash¨¹tte models Tangomat and Z¨¹rich are now available with a second time zone. Both are typically NOMOS: watchmaker Mirko Heyne (34), who was the designer of the original NOMOS automatic caliber, made things a bit more complicated for himself with the xi movement—just to make it beautifully simple for those who ultimately wear the watch. The local Community College has a watch repair course and they will take on work as a teaching/learning experience for the students.Has anyone ever sent work to a program like this? What where your expectations, and were they realized?
I was winding some of the watches today and realized that there is definitely a pattern with my hands. Particularly, I am seeing long minute and second hands, and no second hands that are curved at the tip.So it got me to wondering, has anyone else noticed a style or shape (or anything else) about their watch hands that complete the picture?
Hi Rolex forum members!I am of skinny build and have quite small wrists (14.5cm or 5.75 inches). I am also a huge fan of the GMT Master II BLNR, but am unsure about whether the watch's bracelet will wrap firmly around my small wrist. I have been unable to fully test this out at my local Rolex AD as all the watches on display always have a majority of the links in-tact.Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
