Breitling Breitling 12728 wrist watches news:
I have had a few new watch reviews on AskMenwatches-dealer but did not mention them as I wrote about those watches already on aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer. Here however is one that I did not blog already here. Click on the article to read it, but there are a few interesting things about this Gerald Genta Gefica Blue Note watch. The "Blue Note" just refers to the colors and the fact that it is part of a limited edition. I love the classic manner in which Gerald Genta does a jumping hour with retrograde minutes and the styling of the case is impressive and different. Really a success as stepping outside the mold and still being able to look like a mature design. Plus, the case is make out of bronze, that is really rare for a watch. That also means the case will oxidize over time - which Gerald Genta says is intended.See my Gerald Genta Gefica Blue Note watch article on AskMenwatches-dealer here. So, I am looking at purchasing a pre-owned Cellini Danaos 4243/9 (38mm XL model). Been actually thinking about it on and off for 2-3 years. Either one of the WG or WG/RG models. And I really like the "bulls-eye" dial because it's sporty as well as dressy. I tried on a 4243/9 recently. It was WG with RG bezel, black dial with stick makers. 38mm is a really nice size for a dress watch and it would make a nice casual watch as well. I wear a shirt and tie everyday to work, so the Danaos would get plenty of wrist time. Why is the resale value so horrible on these things? I would never buy one BNIB even with a good discount because I would take a bath if I decided to sell. MSRP is $8,850. Ouch! I have been seeing nice pre-owned examples for mid $4,000 range. I probably wouldn't take too much of a hit on resale if I paid in that price range. There are plenty of all gold dress watches out there that represent a better value, but I can't seem to get this one out of my head.
A long awaited (for me at least). Only had a little bit of time to take these shots. I swear it's the same model as the one in Ben's photos Big thank you to David SW. He hooked it up BIG TIME! And even tolerated my million little questions and negotiation attempts. So far, this watch is the cat's pajamas.
This is what Swiss Made means nowadays? At least it is to Breitling .... What do you all think?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Hi all,I have tried the 5124j on a couple of times now and am really impressed. I know it is not one of the most popular models but I am very hopeful this will be my next watch!Would love to hear from owners of the Gondolo, a few things I liked:- Yellow gold case with unique shape- Nice dial with gold appliqu¨¦s- Curved reverse sapphire to hug the wrist- Movement especially made for the case shape and great finishHere are some pics of it on me and I have started saving so wish me luck!CheersAnuj
