Swatch Group’s gross sales for the first half of 2010 exceeded SFr.3 billion for the first time ever, topping the 2008 record, and the future looks bright, thanks largely to China and Russia. There are a lot of posts on the web with guys always looking for a cheap alternative to the iconic Omega Speedmaster, many have went down the whole fake/replica route and these guys deserve no credit at all. There is another alternative and that is the homage route, it need not look the same but just give a few design cues to the original and offering Omega the credit they rightly deserve for a stunning watch. I had seen a photo of the Citizen AN5120-53E and this was to be my starting point but unfortunatley they are no longer available and rarely come up for sale in decent condition carrying a realistic price. The Citizen Alterna VO10-5892A is another option but I believe my final choice to be the better.My choice was the Casio Edifice EF503D-1AV, which is the black dial model which is also available in blue EF-503D-2AV. The watch is 41mm without the crown and is 20mm between the lugs and has a bracelet as standard which is quiet nice and suprisingly it has solid end links. I never in

Could lenghty wait lists cause loyal Rolex enthusiasts to turn to the fake market...

I'm very sorry for having brought up this topic.I was just responding in another thread, and I started thinking about the lengthy wait lists and was trying to think of a solution...And then it occurred to me... Rolex could cause some of those who are salivating for their turn on the wait list to turn to buying counterfeit versions of the watches. I'm sure that would not be unprecedented.And then it occurred to me... What if... What if Rolex limited production on SS models and has a Chinese factory churning out fake stainless steel versions of their watches? I know it sounds far fetched and even blasphemous, but what if...I'm just thinking out loud. Fakes are illegal of course, and I report them on WatchOut... But if a company didn't really want to produce a large quantity of certain items, they could release a few and publicize the model and then quietly/secretly earn $$$ from the fake market.I'm sure nothing

I have seen time and again folks looking for luxury watches in fine dress and sports models with one criteria in mind ... Under the Radar Ok, what does that mean ? You want to be incognito, discreet, modest,unnoticeable, blend in with the crowd, humble,ordinary, moderate, subtle, inconspicuous, understated, unobtrusive, low-key, subdued look,restrained look, prudent, stealth, undercover, covertand or surreptitious ... etc... Ok on and on you get the picture !!! Please forgive me if I've missed an adjective that fits your criteria... I tried to encompass most !!!My point is , if you want a Rolex ... If you want to wear a Rolex... All this mumbo jumbo stealth under the radar stuff actually flies out the window!!! Why ???Wear a Timex, Swatch or Casio if you want under the radar stealth opps!!! Rolex is not under the Radar no matter how much you psych your mind or want it to be ... Yes white gold or SS is less blingy but still Rolex!That said, most people don't even give a hoot about you
