Newbie to AP- need advice!
I'm mostly a Rolex (5 currently) and Panerai (2 currently) guy, but I stumbled across some pics of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 15202ST Jumbo on this site and I can't get it out of my head. I love the look of this watch. So beautiful, so classy yet sporty/rugged looking. The octagonal design, the bolts, the unique looking bracelet. I love it all. Especially the stainless steel with blue dial. The slim profile (so why is it called jumbo?) looks very comfortable as well. Anyway, I get online to find a dealer- I must run down and try this thing on. I want to see the fit and the feel. I can't wait. Alas, I come to find out there are NO dealers in Arizona! I think I may have to wait until I travel to Dallas later this month to see one. That said, are there any questions I need to ask when purchasing (especially a pre-owned one)? Any red flags? I'm looking for 22mm bracelet. Seatbelt preferred or deployment type if thats all thats available. I can find is 24mm from Ofrei and Cousins UK has nothing at all. Before I go the Omega boutique here in Manhattan does anyone have a source?

Submariner with date and worth the wait
New member here. First time Rolex owner. Finally popped my cherry on a black stainless steel submariner. Love it. But wanted to share my buying experience to give the members here another datapoint on the current shortage of professional models. I live in San Diego California and spent about a month constantly calling and visiting 3 or 4 of the Rolex ad¡¯s trying to find one in stock. No luck. Best I could do was get one to say they they would call me if one came in. All I got was a call for a no date. But even that was sold by the time I went in to buy it. So I shifted gears and went on a trip to Las Vegas. I made the rounds figuring one of those fancy casino ad¡¯s would have one. Well the first place, tourneau in caesars forum shops had one but it was already on the buyers wrist who walked in 10 minutes before me! Undaunted I went to the Bellagio shop and no luck either.
