The Type XXI watch was inspired by the Type XX chronograph designed by Breguet for A ronavale fran comfortable (the naval air arm French) during the 1950s. Launched in 2011, the new Type XXI is available for the first time with a case of 2 titanium grade with a black lacquered rotating bezel sports figures in relief. Looking at my first Rolex...but...need help.
I am looking at a used Submariner that seems to be older and well...used, but not beat up. The guy is more than willing to meet me at any Rolex AD of my choice to verify its authenticity since he does not have any paperwork, although he says it neither stolen or fake.Anyways what things should I look for and or ask for and the obvious question...will it be easy for the dealer to figure it out?I also told the seller I'd want the back opened up in addition to anything else the AD may want to check and he said no problem.Next is that he hasn't worn it for over 2 years. Does that mean a service will be required? If so how much does this run? I ask because my friend just traded both his Rolex GMT and Daytona in on two new Breitlings because he was sick of the both Rolexes constantly breaking down and requiring service which he say was expensive (this comming from a guy who netted $17 mill last year).Lastly he wants 2.2k but is willing to deal...is that a good price? I was offered a br

I posted this over in the Invicta Forum, but wanted to post it here, as well, to give one of our sponsors a little more love from some folks (those Hamilton types!) who might not otherwise see it!Recently, I found a Times Square Automatic on eBay:I really liked the watch; nice and hefty. But, I really wasn't blown away by the simple black strap. It just seemed like it was there to keep the watch in place, as opposed to being "part of the package":So, before I left on my trip to Atlantic Canada, I ordered a brown croc strap with a butterfly deployment. It was waiting for me when I got back from my trip on Saturday night. I just knew that a nicer strap would make this watch something special.I think I may have succeeded:Thanks to The Watch Prince for the superb strap and clasp! I really like the way this watch looks now. I can't imagine making a better choice than the brown croc strap and, frankly, I think I'm developing an unhealthy addiction to deployment clasps.Anyway, I think the new

Everyday, my firm gets multiple calls from total strangers inquiring about our inventory. As has been our policy, we would advise these clients to visit. Used to be the calls only involved the Daytonas. Now, it¡¯s on nearly every Professional series watch. I¡¯m not trying to be flippant here but isn¡¯t it my right to decide who should purchase these rare models? If I have a SS Sub in the case, 9 out of 10 it¡¯s going to be sold to a flipper, unless I intervene. Even at full price, the end user is not in my store. Filling out warranties and removing all the protective plastics isn¡¯t a disincentive. Do I have to play 20 questions just to qualify the buyer? Only sell to clients I know?Ask to see a photo of their collection?Rolex has no response.
