Swatch Group announced today that it will take over Swiss-based watch movement maker Tanzarella Ltd. The takeover, effective July 12, will be achieved by transferring Tanzarella assets to a newly-founded Swatch Group company called Assemti Ltd. The new company will operate from Tanzarella’s present location in Riazzino / Locarno. The Swatch Group Ltd. will acquire the Tanzarella’s building from Credit Suisse. Tanzarella employs 236 people, all of whom will join the new company. The former owner, Mr. Enrico Tanzarella, will remain with the company as the director of operations. Previously Tanzarella worked exclusively for ETA SA Manufacture Horlog¨¨re Suisse, a company of The Swatch Group Ltd.The takeover comes on the heels of the passing of Swatch Group founder and chairman Nicolas Hayek on June 28. I sometimes wear a watch on my left and sometimes on my right wrist, its just where the moods taken me , and I dont own any of destro watch (yet) I saw a guy at my friend's office with Panerai destro watch ( but he wear it on his left wrist ) , but the price seems a bit scarry ..could you guys please help me suggest which destro watches for me to start to look for ? appreciate your comment rgdsPete J
hi all i'm new to this forum. i have been planning to get a watch and being a student, i have quite a tight budget, ard S$200. i've been looking through ebay for some nice watches and seiko watches appeal to me quite a lot. however, the prices on ebay are so much cheaper than those watch shops that i have gone to. this watch : "Sorry not a sponsor admin". from ebay would only cost me S$160 odd while a retail shop was selling it at a S$265! Although the retailer from ebay has loads of positive feedback i'm wondering if there's anything i am missing? like top-of-the-end counterfeits or scams or anything like that?would anyone who have bought from ebay stores enlighten me as to whether it is safe and whether these watches are genuine? i don't want to a bad experience getting my first "real" watch. Thanks in advance all! P.S. Anyone with good suggestions with watches that are within my budget pls kindly share it with me!
