Hi All,Just thought I'd introduce myself here in this forum. I've never really been a true "WIS" up until about a month ago when I finally decided to "upgrade" a Tag I had received as a present from my mom years ago. It actually never even occurred to me to do so until I was in Vegas last July and saw some U-Boats on display at the Venetian. I fell in love. Not knowing much about them, I was obviously taken by surprise when I saw the price tag. I stopped off at Tourneau in Caesars' Palace and was amazed at all the different makes and models, and saw something similar to the U-Boat in the Russian Divers Invicta made with a much more reasonable price. I didn't buy (because I like to research the heck out of everything I consider) and the pursuit sorta faded. Until last month. Something sparked the need again for a new watch and the search began anew. Within a month's time, I got an Invicta SAIII 3-hand GMT auto, the Russian Diver Chrono (of course ), a Swiss Legend Ambassador, a
Every one knows of Jaeger-LeCoultre famous 'reverso' watch. But did Patek Philippe make one?If so when, and who owned the patent?
Got a chance to try this new piece yesterday. It was truly a great looking piece.
I partly blame Thomas... okay, not really but AP ROO is growing on me. Quickly. Not the chronos as much as the new Scuba diver model. The AP house speaks for itself - it is one of the big 4. The style is very distinct, masculine but yet elegant. It doesn't scream luxury watch to people outside the inner circle so it is definitely something you can wear every day. This thing is growing on me. Rapidly. What is even worse, this limited edition - in orange of all colors - is growing on me as well!!!Hm, I can't really motivate one of these without giving up one my vintage Rolex, e.g. the 1665 Sea-Dweller or Zenith Daytona. I smell trouble...
