I received a fake watch as a gift a couple of years ago, it was a a very nice looking fake Breitling, it lasted about 4 years before conking out as you would expect, however it was pretty well made and certainly looked the business. I guess what I am asking is if you are going to go to so much trouble to make a copy why only then are they sold for a few quid? If it was not made as a fake and made as a new make it could probably sell for more as a half decent watch on its own merits?
