This is more of a humor thread than anything else, but if you're anything like me (sarcastic and probably a bit too observant), you see a lot of watch ads that make bogus claims, or use funny or inflammatory advertising language to describe the features of their watches. I have kept an unofficial running list of these and add them as I come across them. Here are a few: Water resistant to 100 meters (suitable for showering and washing hands, but not submersion). -I guess the 100 meters means that you could walk to within about 300 feet of a body of water before the crystal fogs up from the insideProtective acrylic crystal. -Aside from the fact that 'acrylic crystal' is an oxymoron, acrylic could probably only be considered 'protective' if compared only to having a crystal made of Jello, or no crystal at all...Non-water resistant. Not suitable for swimming or diving -OK, now I get it! That finally explains why all of the watches I buy that aren't water resistant are being ruined
This watch was bought by a client from someone who wanted to SCRAP it for GOLD , and no they didn't steal it . A relative gave this to him as a graduation gift. Yes it was beat to hell but really !! Well it's going to a new home for about half of retail . Ebel makes some really nice mechanicals , this is a in house cal 137 , it's Lemania based and uses the same polrotor (? I don't remember how to spell it) system as IWC and the chronograph is simple and robust .new cam 003.jpgnew cam 019.jpg This happens every time gold goes crazy. If you have any local gold buyers , it might not be a bad idea to check with them.

Passing through Montana , on my way to Washington stateand back ... Coming back decided to stop in Missoula MT. for a bite to eat and explore some local artisan craft drinks... Had the ¡° Matador ¡° stuffed burrito ... OMG , it didn¡¯t survive. No leftovers or take out here , I was starving ... A nice local scotch ale brew to pair with just delicious. I know I know , should¡¯ve had maybe a margarita but as they are big on local craft brews the margarita was not an option... Sporting the SD4K as it blends in with the snowy scenery quite well, here aresome pics ... Hope you enjoy them as much as I do ...
