Rado R13877712 wrist watches news:
I have a vintage Tissot manual-wind watch with a sub-second display from the late 40's, early 50's that has a dark tinted crystal over a copper/gold colored dial, with gold hands. In lower light, you can barely read the time! Why? I've seen other vintage Swiss watches with these crystals. But, in particular, mostly Tissot, and Omega! This is one of my fathers well worn work watches, that has seen better days, but still runs great! The crown is well worn, and hard to wind, which I would like to replace. It cleaned up better then I thought, with very little of the gold filled plate missing.Need to get a band for it, pictures later, but here is a photo of the case, with slightly different dial, and replacement crystal not tinted. I wish mine looked this good, but I'm still happy to have it, and wear.
Really looking for any help on this watch. Its got a lovely silver face and swivel lugs to case.It all looks original.Any one know any background on thease early HEUER chronosThis is my FIRST attemp BOTH at taking pictures AND using photo bucket, so any ALL advice GREATLY appreciated. Thanks for looking and comments GREATLY appreciated
... will arrive tomorrow!! I'm super excited. Last year I told myself that I was done with my collection after adding my 2nd PAM (we've all heard that one before). But what has been missing is a watch with an exhibition caseback. Pics tomorrow.
The Patek AD in La Jolla - C.J. Charles - is expanding their store to take over the next door business to better display its huge selection of Pateks, Langes, Panerais, Cartiers, IWCs, etc. Sales associates are both friendly and knowledgeable. They love to talk watches and monitor this forum. They also freely give out the latest catalogues for all watches, including the hardbound book of Langes (which I declined since I am not interested in that brand. Their collection of Lange is unparalleled, IMO).Current Pateks include Calatravas, Complications, and both Nautilus (5711 Gold on bracelet) and Aquanaut (I think SS, but don't remember). C.J. Charles is sited next to Westime, which has its own selection of high end watches.Anyone in the San Diego area should feel free to pop over to La Jolla and visit the watch stores on Prospect Avenue (the main street). PS: There is a waiting list for SS 5711's, naturally.
I¡¯ve had my BLNR for 2 Years now. It¡¯s comfortable, practical, easy to read and great to look at. It¡¯s been through lots. I¡¯m not easy on watches and this one still looks great and keeps great time. I wear it every day. This would be my ¡°one¡± watch if forced to choose. To 2 Years
