Rado R13581922 wrist watches news:
It’s been 125 years since the Statue of Liberty ¡ª a gift from the French to the United States to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence ¡ª was first erected in New York Harbor. To commemorate the occasion, Romain Jerome has created a new watch, called Liberty DNA, whose dial contains actual fragments of the statue. The eight-year-old Swiss brand, based in Geneva, collaborated with The Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation, a non-profit organization devoted to raising funds for restoration of the Statue and Ellis Island, and the Gold Leaf Corporation, which oversees the preservation and use of historic Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island artifacts, in developing the new timepiece, the latest in its “DNA of Famous Legends” portfolio. Issued in a limited edition of 125 pieces, the watch features a bronze bezel with 12 “spikes” reminiscent of those on Lady Liberty’s crown. Over time, the bezel will acquire a patina much lik
As the brightest in the night sky, the moon has encouraged writers, scientists, philosophers and even watchmakers. This time, he served as an inspiration behind the eve of the sensory Dame Glashutte Original PanoMatic Luna. Imprégné to appeal new, novelty employs a 39.4 mm stainless steel case. Now with the release of the new Explorer II at Basel, do you still prefer the old or the new model? For me the old model still looks better with the 40mm case.
. . . a few months ago, I bought a Hammy Khaki King Scuba on a whim. While I loved the fit and value, it was a "tweener" watch to me: too dressy for the pool, too casual for a suit (and I wear suits to work). So I flipped it to a happy buyer. But I loved the Khaki line, so . . . I jumped on a Khaki Field the other day. Could not be happier. This thing has the smoothest sweep of any of my watches. Goes great with a suit or casual. Will spring for a tan strap eventually. At 42mm, it's at about my size limit. But it's got a low profile and nicely angled lugs, so it wears a bit smaller and the fit is great. Wish Hamilton would shorten their lugs a couple of mm for bony-wristed dudes like me (even the 40mm Khaki King was long in the lugs) , but not a huge deal. I've bought (and sold) everything from Omega to Oris to Invicta. But I'm coming to the conclusion that Hamilton gives the best value for the dollar of just about anything out there. I'm a fan.
Was a pleasure being invited to this event.Although I did not get to say hello to Mr Stern, I did meet Patek's #1 Ambassador - Mr Khalid who always has the the time to change a few words and jokes with me.An absolute Gentleman.
