Your Opinions on a"TRUE" Post-War Elgin Pershing Project
Hey guys !If you guys remember a gentleman named Greg Ochs sent me a scan of an Elgin Pershing watch ad from the February 22, 1919 issue of Literary Digest. Sense that day I have been obsessed with building one to the EXACT specifications in the ad and some progress has been made. Believe it or not but the hardest part of this project so far has been finding the exact set of correct hands that are pictured in the artist's rendering. Note that in the picture the hour hand has an very unusual long shaft going out to the spade section and that the spade section is much smaller than the usual ones that can be found. I have nearly 20 hours into this hand alone! Searching for hours on end to find the correct hand can drive a person mad and then it has to be the correct size too boot! Now for the minute hand. I can honestly say that I haven't ever seen an Elgin luminous minute hand in this configuration. I have done countless Elgin watch restorations from this period and that this hand does n

Got 15400, eyeing for 15450..
Hi all, just bought AP RO 15400, need the 1.5 link to make it comfy. I think it fits my puny 6.5 wrist but cant help to think it is too big from time to time. Now I'm thinking to get white dial 15450 to complement this piece. Is it too small? Do you guys think it is redundant? Anyone has the two of them together at their collection?
