I Am a Weak Man - My new AT . . .
. . . was in my local AD last night looking for a birthday present for my wife. While I struck out on THAT project, I spied an AT that I had never seen in person before: the AT 2503.33. White with blue markers and hands. I always loved the photos - never got to see one up close.Until last night. When the AD offered to chop 20% off the list price . . . fuhgeddaboutit. It's either the most casual dress watch I've ever seen or the most dressy casual watch I've ever seen. Not sure. Don't care. I just love the thing. It's the "old" one with the 2500. Definite change from my quartz Seamaster Bond diver.Thinking about throwing a nice leather strap on it for winter. Really like that look. Anyway, I had to share. Don't tell my wife that her birthday funds (OK, some of it) is sitting on my wrist. Sorry for the lousy Blackberry photo.

New Platinum Yacht-Master!!!!!!
As you may have saw, went to the AD to get the wife a new Datejust.. Well, picked her out one and negotiated a great price off the 'old' price.. Just couldn't pass it up Getting ready to check out I jokingly asked if he'd match that discount (over 15%! ) on one of the Rolex Sports watches. His reply, which one?? I said how about the 40mm platinum Yacht-Master (I just knew he wouldn't- I've never seen discounts over 10% here). He scrunches his face & says 'let me check'.. A few minutes later he says YES! My jaw drops. So -knowing I'll never get a new one for that price again, I instantly say yes too. Price off the 'new' prices - almost 30%!! That's the power of an AD relationship!! So - walked out with a Datejust for the missus, and another Yacht-Master for me. I still can't believe I got myself another one.. Remember - no new watches for me in '08.. Yea - so much for that!!! Speedmaster GMT Broad Arrow
Do you think the Speedmaster GMT Broad Arrow~3881.30.37 (metal or leather strap) is too big for a dress watch~44mm? I have a Seamaster Bond and GMT right now with a 45mm Planet Ocean for casual wear. The watch looks great and I'm guessing is in the same line as the Rolex Daytona. This if I decide will be my last watch as my wife is watching me type this message....

AD with every Aquanaut
All,I'm in Aruba as we speak. I stumbled upon (ok internationally stopped by) the only PP AD on the island.I was surprised to see they the 5167R, 5167A, 5164 and the 5167 in SS along with a bunch of Nautilus options (no 5711s though). The prices are marginally lower than the US (and no tax of course). Anyway, if you have a trip planned to Aruba and looking for an Aquanaut, thought I'd share the info. Also, they said PP will not allow them to ship outside of Aruba - even if you bought in person.If anyone is dying for one and I can help in any way while I'm here, let me know. I had a good conversation with the mgr and they seemed eager to please.
