Hello all. I just got back from my yearly vacation with my wife to Las Vegas. I did pretty well in that I paid for all of our dinners and shows with winnings and still had a little over $1000 left but I wasn't quite able to swing a new watch. That part really bums me because I actually saw one that I liked at what I believe to be a great price. Most of the shops sell everything at retail or more with no discounting from what I've seen. However I saw one shop that was selling a brand new, just came in, Daytona 116520 black dial for the MSRP of $9925. The Daytona has only recently grown on me so I don't know near as much about them, but from what I've seen they tend to go for well over MSRP. Should I do the credit thing for a year to put the rest of the money together to buy this watch? I'm thinking that I could probably even sell it for a profit if I really wanted and then be able to use my current watch fund and the profit for either a used Pepsi Bezel GMT or a new Explorer II with bla
Santa brought this to my 9 year old sonSo this evening, with a clear head we started the projectAs you can see here from the scratched dial and bent second hand, they give you extra hands and 2 dials for a reason!I know it's alot of pics, here is the last one. Evan's very first wrist shot!!Here's to the next generation of watch lovers!!
Just pulled the latest WatchTime out of the mailbox. It's usually good reading, but this one has a section called Patek Philippe Milestones in honour of the 175 Anniversary. This will be of great interest to the Forum members here.
Hi all,I'm thinking about adding another Patek maybe early next year. I tried on the 5205g gray at my AD and was very impressed with it. The AD doesn't have the black version so I'm waiting till he gets another one in so I can compare the two. What do you guys think? 5205g gray or black? I'm also considering the Lange 1 moonphase in platinum. Thoughts on the 5205g vs. Lange1 would be helpful also. Thanks!
