- Great watch. Numbers are easy to see, it has a second hand, and it lights up. The only thing for me, is that I have to have the band changed because it doesn't fit perly.

Raymond Weil 2847-STC-20001 wrist watches news:
Hi All - New here. I don't know a whole lot about watches, so was hoping you guys could give me some advice. I bought a really cool 1950's Seamaster automatic online. Sorry don't have pics. It ran fine for about 8 mos., then stopped, and the rotor made a clunky sound. Took it to Tourneau in Manhattan to confirm authenticity and fix it. They sent it to omega, and I received the following estimate: Necessary items are required to fix the issues listed on your repair receipt. Necessary Items: Refinish Dial $660.00 Necessary Hands $36.00 Necessary Strap Replacement $96.00 Necessary Miscellaneous $0.00 Necessary Complete Service $1007.00 Necessary Total Necessary Items:$1,799.00 Total Cost of Service:$1,799.00*The Tourneau person was unable to tell me what was actually wrong with the watch. All she said was that it needed to be sent to switzerland for the listed repairs. Furthermore, since when is a strap replacement necessary to make a watch run? It happens to b
I have fallen in love with the Patek brand! Previously, I have been a strictly Rolex man (except an IWC "Doppelchronograph" and a Zenith El Primero "Class" chronograhp I owned for a while).I especially love the Patek ref. 5146...Here it is how it looks on my 7 ? " wrist. I am embarrassed to admit that I still don't own this beauty, but I tried on at an AD a while back.I would prefer havig the yellow gold version, but the AD did not have it in stock, so I tried on the WG example:Questions:1) Is the watch 39 mm or 37 mm in diametre? In the DESCRIPTION field of the 5146 on patek.ch, it says:"Annual Calendar Day and month by hands, date in an aperture Moon phases Power reserve indicator Center sweep second hand Cream or slate gray dial, gold applied hour markers and numerals Fold-over clasp Sapphire crystal case back Water resistant to 30 m Rose, yellow or white gold Case diameter: 39 mmHowever, in the CALIBER field, it says:Caliber 315 S IRM QA LU Mechanical self-winding movement Total di

In checking prices of both brand new and used Date/No Date SubC models, it would appear that one could buy a brand new 114060 for the price of a lightly used (several years old) 116610 give or take.Given the choice of new vs used date/no date, which would you choose? Personally, I like both models and having no date is not a deal breaker for me. I do like the idea of buying brand new as well. (full disclosure) If both were brand new and priced the same I would select date. I am considering trading a 16613 TT blue towards the purchase of a 114060 or 116610. I am a one Rolex owner and that is likely to stay that way for the next few years anyway. Thanks in advance for opinions.
Stopped by my AD to tell him to take me off the waiting list for a Daytona C and to my surprise this TT blue Submariner was in the case. It had just come in yesterday and was supposedly already allocated to some one else. But the AD said since I had bought there before and was local I could have it. I did find out that the warranty info is now sent to Rolex before the sale is complete and the sales person insisted on taking off the remaining stickers (most were already off anyway). They also had a Hulk but I liked the blue better.
