- I love the look of the watch. Besides its looks a perk that I did not count on is that I did not have to have the band sized (my wrist size is @ 7 1/4).

Seiko Seiko 51642 wrist watches news:
On July 11th 2009, Corum ambassador Ben Ainslie set a new elapsed time record for monohulls in the Transpacific Yacht Race. Sailing Alfa Romeo II (Neville Crichton¡¯s Reichel Pugh 100), Ainslie and crew made the 2,225-nautical mile crossing in 5 days, 14 hours, 36 minutes and 20 seconds. The crew beat the previous course record set by Hasso Plattner¡¯s Morning Glory in 2005 of 6:16:04:11 by over a day.The new record was the result of a very good team led by Neville Crichton. In addition to Ainslie, Crichton¡¯s crew included Stan Honey, Michael Coxon, David Endean, Ryan Godfrey, Stan Honey, Andrew Hutchinson, Phil Jameson, Lance Jenkins, Gavin McPherson, Peter Merrington, Murray Spence, Craig Sattherwaite, Joao Signorini, David Rolfe, Tony Mutter and Alfa¡¯s shore crew, Ian Goldsworthy. More than half a dozen members of the record-breaking team flew directly from the completion of the 2008/09 Volvo Ocean Race, having set 24-hour monohull records on Ericsson 4, a Volvo Open 70.Transpac 2009
Hi, I'm new to this forum and was needing a little help from anyone. My dad got a watch in the late 70's early 80's from his dad as a gift. This is his dress watch and has never worn it more than just about once a month since he got it. I remember playing with it when I was little. Now my grandpa has been gone since 1989 and my dad treasures this watch. Last month he hit his watch on something and broke the face. The watch face is not a circle or a oval shape. Can anyone help me out? I am wanting to send it off to get it repaired for him, but I cannot find a single piece of info on it through the internet.I could not get a clearer picture. The numbers on the back are H239-5070 and the serial number is 138378.
I found this on the net for a reasonable price, can anyone tell from these tiny pictures if it's real or fake..?Cheers Edit: Also, if anyone know whats movement it is (ETA I suppose?) and other curiosa about the watch I would be grateful :)
Just a brief update with pics to follow. Last Tuesday met with Adam78 from Chicago. Now I thought I had a great early Rolex (1930s) collection and indeed I do, but trust me Adam78 Are GREATER. Full of wonderful Bubblebacks. Great guy, lots of knowledge and a lovely person. I have loads of pictures (which Adam took). That I will post soon. But believe me this guy has the greats I'm Rolexs AND Hamiltons. Be patient. To day was with Noel from National Watch and Clock Museum in PA. They are running a special exhibition on Grand Complications. You guys MUST come take a look if only to see a letter written by Breguet to a customer. Wonderful stuff, really. Then we went over to see Roland G Murphy of RGM. WOW!! What an experience. Thisan is a 'master'. He demonstrate both a 'rose engine and a straight line engine' 'Guilloche'. He has all the vintage equipment tohand make watches and also repair or service any (really any) watch and if you could see him demonstrating a 'rose eengine' Guillo
Nautilus 5980 stainless steel bracelet. The AD was smaller than I expected, but somehow the selection was spread out in good proportions so nothing was crowded. High end cabinets, furniture etc.
