This is an old idea, and we've been going through it beforebut if you had to choose just ONE Rolex watch for the rest of your lifewhat would it be? Remember, just ONEand no exceptions John! For me it's easy...and now that I sold my 16613 I'm (at least temporarily) a one Rolex man.Why? The Pepsi GMT 16710 with the 3185 movement has everythingthe classic Rolex look, ability to track 3 timezones, much more advanced movement than the basic 3135, youthful image and the possibility to have 3 watches in one. And unlike the new ceramic GMT (which is nice too) this still has the original GMT spirit.

Looking for an omega.
Well i am looking at omega watches. I want a chrono but having a hard decision. I like the seamaster chrono in titanium but it is not made anymore. I was looking at a speedmaster auto but would like an exhibition back for an auto if i could find it and blue dial. Would it be better to get the mechanical or auto version of this watch?

Greetings from a new poster. I am newly addicted to vintage watch collecting. My free time so far has been divided between research (including lurking here on WTF), collecting (mostly bottom feeding on Ebay) and servicing/repairing my acquisitions. I'm joining in order to tap into your vast knowledge to answer some questions I have been accumulating; expanding my chops so to speak. To the point, I have a 20's Hamilton with a 987f movement and cannot find a reference to this model.Sorry about the quality of the image. I am stuck using copies from my won auctions until I can get a camera with a decent macro function.I found the dial came on other models like the Prescot (1934) and the Winslow (1935). Other than that there seems to be a void in the knowledge out there about 987f's and 30's Hamiltons in general other than the geometric cases and the golf courses. Hi! I already have the novelty Rg 44mm. Will I find the 42mm on Strap - too small in comparison. As I think I might have posted this question earlier but I will be ordering the watch without trying it on. Any pros or cons? Or should I just go for it. Hello all,I hope you had an excellent weekend. I've finally saved enough and looking forward to buy my first Rolex, deciding between 116610/114060 and gmt blnr.I have been doing my research over the past few weeks and got some concerns, any advice is much appreciated!There have been a number of rumours about a new movement (32xx) in the subs this year and possibly a more significant decrease in the supply. How much better is the 32xx movement comparing to the 3135 movement other than the power reserve? As baselworld 2018 is only 2months away, can you guys give me some guidance on whether I should hold on or not(considering the models are available)?Thank you all in advance for your assistance and input!
