Seiko SNKM53 wrist watches news:
an island in the Indian Ocean called Mauritius. This must be close to paradise
Hi. I have just been looking at the forum and have to say I am impressed by the knowledge and enthusiasm of the posters! I am in the early stages of buying my first luxury watch (or any watch really) and had narrowed it down to a Breitling (super avenger or super ocean chrono) and then I saw the IWCs. I like the Portuguese Chrono Steel (blue) 371417 or in black 371438 and the Pilots Classic Chrono 371701. i prefer straps to bracelets. My real questions are firstly which would you recommend (i know they are both excellent watches and is down to personal taste) and more importantly what sort of price level do they come in at? I am based in london so have looked at the ADs but am interested to see what they would cost new from and AD in the US (ideally NY). Would you recommend buying in the US rather than locally? Would this cause resale issues (assuming you could get it off my wrist)? Any advice / help greatly appreciated.
To start, here's the watch we're talking about. It arrived in non-running condition but I do intend to keep it. It's not a rare or valuable vintage so I'd like to use it as a learning experience. I have managed to pop the crystal/bezel and run into my first issue. The crown stem goes through a hole in the case and the movement won't come out. How do you separate the crown from the movement to remove it from the case?Once it's out, I'll post photos of the movement and take further suggestions. Thanks in advance.
It is very popular nowadays for people here to do a stay-cation in the many nice hotels in town rather than making a long trip out of the country. I had an opportunity to spend a wonderful 2-day-1-night stay at the Marina Bay Sands (MBS) Singapore with my family to enjoy the superb facilities of one of the most exquisite hotels here. In fact, this was my second stay-cation here and the experience was as fresh as the first-time A morning view of the Singapore CBD from MBS... Notice the shadow of the 3 Towers of MBS? One of the best attraction of MBS is definitely the SkyPark, which features an incredible infinity pool stretches from one end to another of the entire rooftop linking the 3 Towers of MBS! Look at that view The SkyPark is accessible with a fee for public and free for hotel guests. And only hotel guests have the privilege to use the infinity pool. For me, I didn't bother to swim that day, but was busy snapping photos of my 25721ST against the beautiful backdrop. Lastly, a
Hi GuysI want to thank you all for helping me making the decision on picking up this watch. see this thread belowhttps://.rolexforums/showthread.php?t=580234After 3 long months, the watch arrived. Although not the blue dial that I originally put my name on, I still love it and super happy that I got it. Here are some pictures.Watch is not sized yet, plus I am at work. So I can't put it on. It is sitting beautifully next to the D-blue that I am wearing today.
