The face of a watch, like a person, often tells you quite a bit about what they are. Sometimes they're subtle and restrained, and sometimes their place in the world is writ large for all to see. The Casio Pathfinder, model number PAW1500T-7V is one of those "this is who I am, got a problem with that?" sorts of watches. After wearing it for a few weeks, I think of it as the go-to watch for the outdoors, especially if things are going to be tough: river rafting, long hiking trips, extreme sports and the like. It's probably the most capable and versatile watch I've yet seen. Decembers' Full Moon is today!
For many the Full Moon brings on changes, in their moods, their sleep, or is just plain really cool to see. I've been affected by the Full Moon since infancy, according to my Mother even keeping her up nights before I was even able to crawl. I get insomnia beyond what levels I normally have whenever there's a Full Moon out, even when I cannot physically see it. Since the Full Moon this month happens at 16:37GMT/UDT/ZULU Time I thought I'd let anyone that cares know this is the time. For December 2008 today is the day. Where I live the Moon became Full just minutes ago or at 11:37 EST my time. Checking the Moon Phase dial on my watch I see it's spot-on, with the Full Moon perfectly centered on the inner dial at exactly 1137 hours here. Omega SMP - First Service after 16 years
Got a recommendation for an Omega UK service centre off a member of another forum I frequentMy trusty Omega SMP started to run 5 min's fast every few days so after 16 years - it was time for its first serviceThe cost of the service was 25% less than I was quoted from 2 high street ADs plus the recomendation from somebody who had used before - was good newsI put it in for a movement only service - no polishing\ no cosmetic refinish. Reason being if I wanted a new looking smp - why not buy a new one. All the scratches over 16 years (& there's not that many too be honest) all mean something & add up to what the watch means to me\ been with me over the yearsAnyway - took about 5/ 6 weeks & arrived back last Thursday.Well packaged on returnOmega service pouch inside the hard plasticj boxmore bubble wrap inside the pouchFinally ..........Should have wiped the dust from the watch before the final pic. Second thoughts on the 5167
I recently bought a 5167 ( rubber strap) and am having second thoughts about it. It just doesn't seem to move me like my 5711. I don't think the rubber strap is as comfortable as the 5711. I do like the fact that it wears more casual. For those who have both , what are you thoughts and do you wear the 5167 to more casual outings?
