Seiko SNAE83 wrist watches news:
Last month in December of 2012 we brought to you what we feel was the coolest giveaway ever - a trip to Geneva to build your own Frederique Constant or Alpina watch, and also a choice of Frederique Constant or Alpina watch for two second prize winners. I personally was amazed by the substance of the giveaway comments. They are charming, passionate, emotional, and full of watch love. You can?read the many comments on the giveaways page here. Because you'd all like to know, here are the winners:The first prize winner who will travel to Geneva and build a watch is Mr. Andrew E. of Indiana. The second prize winners who will get new Frederique Constant watches are Mrs. Carolyn H. of Georgia and David B. of California.Congrats to them, and don't forget to enter for this month's Xetum Tyndall watch giveaway.
Mercedes Gleitz DID NOT swim the English Channel wearing a Rolex. She wore the watch on her SECOND attempt, which failed.
Please bear with me, I've never owned a watch with a rotating bezel before.I've searched and read a number of threads about loose bezels, wobbly bezels, bezels that pop off easily, bezels that are misaligned, bezels that spin too easily and bezels with play in them. So, let me be clear on what I have noticed with my new Seamaster GMT. First, here is what seems to be right with the bezel:It does not want to pop off; It's not misaligned; It's not loose nor does it spin easily; It clicks sharply as it is rotated; It does not wobble; It does not seem to want to lift up or pull away from the case easily; It seems to fit tightly on the case;It seems perfect except as noted below. So, here's what I've discovered. With the 24:00 hr bezel marker set exactly at 12 o'clock and holding the case in my left hand, if I place the tip of my right index finger at the 24:00 hr marker and tip of my right thumb at the 12:00 hr marker and apply pressure fore and aft, the bezel moves very, very slightly fore and

Friends, waitlists, price increases, scarcity, etc. Rolex is going upmarket. Exclusivity. Sell less units at higher prices. Same profit. Rolex=Patek Eventually. Tudor is the brand that people will aspire to own. Rolex if you’re wealthy. This is the strategy. It’s the reason you have a Tudor Pepsi and a Rolex Pepsi both with in house movements, 70 hour power reserves. There is no way management would allow such in house scalping if this wasn’t to move both brands up market with Tudor replacing Rolex for the aspirational middle class. It’s clever yet obvious and slightly cynical but it’s happening.
