Seiko SSA095 wrist watches news:
The previews of new luxury watches debuting at the SIHH watch salon in Geneva this January continue to roll in. Our “Watch Insider” Alexander Linz has already shown you one of the new Cartier watches for men premiering at SIHH, the Cartier Calibre de Cartier Diver. Now we reveal three more new men’s Cartier watches. 1.Rotonde de Cartier AstrocalendaireThe Astrocalendaire is one of Cartier¡¯s ¡°headliner¡± pieces for SIHH 2014. It features a flying tourbillon surrounded by a unique perpetual calendar. The calendar is presented in three concentric circular displays, with the date on the outermost ring, the month in the center, and the day of the week on the inside. A flying tourbillon lies at the center of these displays. Each ring is part of a bridge, and each is on a different level. The rings are stationary, and the day, date and month are indicated by blue PVD rectangles that move around the rings. All displays are set with the crown, except the date, which is co
After a doctor's appointment last Friday morning. Found myself on the LV strip headed toward Cesar's Forum shops. The home, among others, of Panerai. Since I purchased my Radiomir Black Seal a little more than a week ago, I wanted a different strap and buckle. The manual states that the wear on the strap is normally caused by the tang buckle. I was shown a a variety of straps, calf skin or alligator, and colors. I finally chose a light tan alligator strap. Next the buckle. A double folding clasp. The saleswoman was patient and answered all my questions. The folding clasp is recommended by Panerai in their manual. So now I have two straps; black calfskin and a tang buckle, along with my alligator strap and double locking buckle. I was in and out in about 45 minutes. Before Saturday's shopping rush of visitors and Touristas. The new alligator tan strap and buckle in place.
I have several quartz watches, Seikos, Wenger, Hamilton, and one vintage Omega Seamaster Professional Diver. With the exception of the Omega most are relatively inexpensive. I rarely wear any of them. I've heard that a quartz movement will eventually "burn out." I keep fresh batteries in them even though they just sit. My question is, should I pull the crown out and let them stop or keep them running???Will I prolong the life of the watch or is it better to keep them running???
Does anyone know why an extract from the Omega Archives is not available in the US and if one ever will be?
I had heard there was some concerns about the reliability of the 1151 movement, as used in the Speedmaster Triple Dates. I love the look of the watch and the value seems good (used ones going for approx. $1,500 on ebay).Any one with ownership experience with this movement please let me know if you have experienced any issues with your watch. Also much appreciated if anyone can point me to a spot on the net where I could do further research on the Omega Triple Dates. Many thanks.
