There is no doubt that one of the trends to emerge from Baselworld 2014 was brands reviving classic models with small modern updates. Usually this means a slightly larger case and maybe some new functionality, all while retaining the design traits that made the original a classic in the first place. Hamilton unveiled the Pan-Europ, a sport watch that definitely carries all the 70s style of the original chronograph Pan-Europ. Here we take a closer look at this affordable re-issue. 2 OF 6 The first Pan-Europ debuted in 1971 and was one of the very first automatic chronographs. It housed the legendary Calibre 11 movement (called the Chrono-matic by Hamilton) and hit all the style hallmarks of early 70s racing watches. I wonder if you AP experts know of the quality of the movement used in a Chanel J12 automatic. According to the Chanel brochure, AP movements are used in their watches.Thanks for any help.J. Alan

hi all,picked up this baby today. It is a U serial number tritium dial, although the lume did not develop any patina yet, although the dots and arrows have a slight contrast to the dial. there is still a faint glow on the dots and arrows but does not last long.Well, looking fwd to it developing the patina, but if not, it is still a gorgeous watch. I include the customary pics - sorry for the lousy shots; am not very good at it.Rafteur
