Hexa K500 + Q500 Review
When considering Hexa's dive watches, you immediately have to decide whether or not you are down with the crown being located between the 10 o'clock and 11 o'clock markers. It's not a conventional placement, but it's also not on the part of the watch that might dig into your hand ¡ª a bonus in my book. It's a bold design decision and since I applaud messing with convention, count me in.But if you are that sensitive in general, the Hexa probably isn't for you. These watches definitely go better with the guy who drives a F150, not for the guy who carries a copy of "Pride and Prejudice" in his back pocket. Not that there's anything wrong with that.Now that the elephant in the room has been addressed, let's get to total package. Hexa's automatic K500 and its quartz sibling the Q500 are utilitarian tool divers that borrow visual cues from the Sinn U1. Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum and new to collecting, and mostly joined it to learn. I currently own 12 watches, starting with cheap ones. After buying my first Citizen Eco-Drive Minute Repeater Cal. 9000 w/black dial & goldtone, I have been slowly adding some other pieces. Questions about buying an 5035
I've been thinking about getting a 5167 or a 5127 for a while now and noticed that 5035¡¯s are in my price range also. Were there any problems with them when they were released? My other concern with buying a watch that could be 17 years old is service costs, I noticed on Patek's site that a watch more than 20 years old would need an estimate. I don't mind the standard annual calendar service fee. I just didn't want the first time I send it in to get a $5000 bill. If it¡¯s been serviced by Patek every 5 years how likely would it be that it would need more than standard maintenance? Thanks
